When it comes to how we like to travel, we are not all created equally. How we enjoy a new place and what we do while we’re there is greatly influenced by our own personality.
Animals also have different traits. What type of animal personality would best describe you when you travel?
1. A puppy
Puppies have one thing in abundance: energy. The puppy on vacation is constantly on the move. He gets up early, eats, and is on his way. The puppy prefers to see and do as much as possible. While he may go back to the hotel after supper, he’ll probably go out again at night. He knows that this is his one chance to see and experience the part of the world where he is. When he does decide to go to sleep, he crashes. The next day, he does the same thing.
2. A bunny
The rabbit is happy to be on vacation, but perhaps this is her first time traveling. She’s curious about the world and the new place she’s visiting, but is easily skittish. She’s worried about missing bus and flight connections. If she sees an opportunity for some adventure that she may not take part in at home, she freezes up and will possibly run away. We do have to give the rabbit credit, she’s getting out there.
3. A squirrel
The squirrel is a lot like the puppy: he has a lot of energy. The one thing he has less of is any attention span. When the squirrel travels, he bounces around from place to place without any plan. He’s so excited to be on vacation that he wants to see everything, but he can’t make up his mind where he wants to go first.
4. A pig
Before continuing, know this: pigs are incredibly smart animals. Anyone who has a pet pig knows that you have to stay one step ahead of them.
The pig is a planner. She’s happy to be on vacation. While not as energetic as the puppy, she still has a desire to see as much as she can. Planning is her forte. She knows what she wants to see, how she’s going to get there, and what to do after. Pigs make great guides.
5. A koala
While traveling, the koala is content with simply being away from the normal humdrum of life. If he doesn’t spend most of the day catching rays near the hotel swimming pool, he’ll be nourishing himself at a local café. If you travel with a koala and he turns down your mountain hiking invitation, don’t take it personally. He’s here to relax, and relax he will.
6. A turtle
The turtle takes her time. When others spend 30 minutes at a local park, she may spend two hours. She’s here to soak in the ambience of the place she’s visiting: the smells, the people, the tastes, the views. Sitting down on a park bench with an ice cream is a perfect way for her to spend an afternoon.
7. A bird
A bird is going to go as far as possible. The bird plans day trips from wherever he’s staying. It’s not uncommon for him to travel three hours away from his hotel to see an important sight; distance is no obstacle. He not only wants to take in the surroundings of the city or town he’s staying in but also the atmosphere of the region as a whole.
